Among the many dormitory stays I've had, Hostel Kurukku Sandhu stood out as the best. The environment was serene, located in a peaceful area in the heart of the city. The bathrooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The staff members were incredibly friendly, offering great recommendations for exploring the Heritage Town. The rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds perfect for weary travelers who enjoy long walks. The delicious South Indian cuisine served there was an added bonus. I think it is not justified for me to complain, but I think the water used for the bathing purposes could be softened up and I think that would complete the experience a whole lot better, even if offered premium at what it is priced at. But I also understand the water facilities being present in that part of the city with 24 hours access(to hot or otherwise) is a plus in itself.

Good tourist centric location. The place is pretty new and is yet fully packed(thanks to its optimal pricing). The staff(Raghu) is friendly and I met the owner of the place and he has a lot of plans for the place. I like that he is patient when dealing at the customers. Overal it is good place to dock you luggage and roam around the tourist location nearby. The property knows what they are offering and they are very direct about it and I like it. I would say at the price point with facilites(Air Conditioner, hot water, parking(2W)) it is a steal deal.

The Place still needs to maintain a lot. First, i booked for 420 including taxes from Booking.com, but the Property asked for 500, which i didn't like. Then, there can small improvements for cleanliness for lobby area outside room and washroom. Instead of Soap, Handwash needs to be there on Wash Basin. Bedsheets needs to be changed before giving a guest the Bed.

So, the place is still new. So, the vibes of a Hostel are not there. The Caretaker, Pratap, is a young guy himself, who helps in any way he can. The Rooms were big and Air Conditioner was working good.

Room full of mosquitos. 1 plug to serve 6 beds in the dormitory. Staff member coming in and out of the dormitory from 5am onwards cleaning, talking loudly waking up the guests. Owner coming in to dormitory to wake you up at 7am to ask if you are checking out or staying on, despite checkout not been until 10am. Staff hovering over you as you pack in the run up to check out time, literally standing watching you as you pack your things and walking you out the door at 9:59am, then had the cheek to ask for a tip. 1st hostel in the world that will not hold your bag/luggage for a few hours when you have a later transport time. Very unprofessional, seems like owner is only interested in making easy money instead of providing a hostel envioronment.

Starting from booking. Everything is a mess at this place. No parking at all. Not even 2 wheelers can be parked. But the mentioned parking is available. Before reaching location I called him to check again if pets are allowed. He said yes. Once payment is done he flipped completely. Saying pets are to be tied outside only. Only one power socket for one room of 8 people. Zero cleanliness. Ants occupy your bed before you. The owner or the manager doesn’t treat you with respect. Very confined common space. If you want to book even after reading this review. Pls call and ask for more images and videos. Thanks
