Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SwitzerlandToo expensive for the quality ! Air con devices need to be replaced ( noisy) ! Bed not enough hard and the bathroom is very basic for the price ! they were some new bungalow under construction ! It was not too noisy but stil you can hear it from time to time ! Because the construction work we couldnt go on the other side of the hill to see the sunset correctly ! They should plan a new path of access to see it !
The staff is very friendly and the quality of the food at the restaurant is very very good ! The access to the coral reef just of front of the room with a very large of diversity of fish ! Transportation with the speed boat and the logistics is very good ! The view from the room on the beach and the ocean

United KingdomOur room was room 6 which was next door to the reception. There was a steady stream of Sudamala staff that used the walkway down the side of our cottage to get to cleaning products or sun lounger cushions. I assume there is some kind of storage facility behind the reception. It was quite annoying and did spoil the desert island vibe somewhat.
The property is beautiful and extremely well maintained. The staff are just amazing with a special shoutout to Nardi, who was an absolute superstar. The restaurant was very good. It was snorkelling that brought us to this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. It really was fantastic, turtles, reef sharks and much much more.

AustraliaThe attached bungalows are private but you can hear people in next room. Would probably choose the unattached bungalow next time but a minor issue.
From the moment we arrived for a 6 night stay we were treated like family. Every single member of staff was friendly , helpful and smiling. Food was delicious. Included breakfast was fabulous . Coffee was excellent. Great pool with showers to rinse. Very easy , calm snorkelling from beach at high tide or from pier at all tides. Lots of fish and nice coral. Nice clean beach . Kayaks and a SUP board. Peaceful , calm resort to relax. All rooms are beachfront. Very clean and nice rooms with balcony and lounges in front. Cant wait to rebook for next year and see the sudamala family.

IndonesiaBeautiful bungalows, a well manicured and excellent swimming beach, very clean for Indonesia. Fabulous breakfasts and an extensive lunch and dinner menu. There are excellent facilities on site including a gym, spa, diving and snorkelling centre. The reef in front of the resort is vibrant with life, including a decent amount of living coral. Turtles, large cuttlefish and manta shrimps are just some of what can be seen here. We did a Komodo excursion with them on a very high quality boat which comfortably catered for 10 participants. The excursion was very well executed and included towels, water, snorkelling equipment and a very nice lunch. To reach the resort you need to be transferred from the harbour to the resort on their free transfer boat which departs from Labuan Bajo at 11am and 4,30pm, this will include transport from the airport to the port. If you are unable to make this transfer there is the option for a speedboat transfer at any time for a flat rate so the more in your group the cheaper. The resort also tries to employ sustainable practices with little or no single use plastic evident.

Hong KongThere are only two boats per day to pick up the guests from Labuan Bajo. As our flight has been rescheduled, we have to pay a private boat at 1,650,000 IDR to go to the hotel as our flight arriving at 1730 cannot catch the second boat. The price of the boat is quite expensive even for Hong Kong. And we have no choice but to book that. I wouldn’t say private beach bungalow truly has private beach. It is still a shared beach with everyone else. Just the bungalow itself is an independent bungalow. WiFi is not very fast but it is not a huge problem for us as the nature itself is already beautiful.
It is on a small island where there is beautiful beach and amazing snorkelling spots. We saw a turtle and a small black fin shark while snorkelling. Sunrise from the hotel is also beautiful. Room is big and the outdoor toilet make us feel closer to the nature. Food is good. Staffs are nice and professional.

SingaporeFood could be improved. The beach bungalow’s wall is way too thin. We understand it might be ideal for family that needs a connecting room but otherwise there is no privacy and too noisy. You can practically hear every single noise and conversation from the adjacent room.

IndonesiaThere's no soundproof at Beach Bungalow, which is connected to the next room, and you can hear all noises and voices from your neighbor. If you need silence and privacy, you need to book a Private Beach Bungalow. Some room equipment such as coffee cups and tea bags are not provided. Food at the restaurant is good with varieties, but the service is too slow.
It is a beautiful resort on a secluded island and ideal place to relax. The staff is friendly and attentive. The house reef in front of the hotel is the perfect spot for snorkeling. You can find tons of tropical fish easily.

SpainStunningly picturesque location; healthy and vibrant home reef (we saw turtles, sharks, and hundreds of species of fish every day while snorkelling just off the beach); secluded, tranquil environment. The staff are just outstanding - incredibly helpful, kind and professional. A great place to slow down, unwind, and move at a more relaxed pace. Adventures/excursions (e.g., Komodo National Park, diving, etc.) are easy to book for the more adventurous. We had such a good time we extended our stay! highly recommend.

United KingdomNothing!
An AMAZING 6 days here and we’ve loved every minute. Great bungalows on the beach and I think the detached options make a big difference. Icy cool AC, lovely interiors and verandas. Straight onto the beach, some with tree shade, but all with loungers and umbrellas. Wonderful staff and food at any time of day. Ate twice on the beach at night and felt very spoilt by Berthy and his lovely restaurant team. At all times! Lastly, a “world class” (other divers words, not ours) house reef. Kaleidoscopic tidal/deep living coral and fish, turtles, small black tip reef sharks and everything in frantic feeding mode twice a day with the nutrient rich tidal currents. Getting to know the species communities was so lovely, all had their special characteristics. Unfortunately tears in goggles make you mist up so had to get a grip!!!! Lasting memories of just gently following feeding turtles from 1-2m, who seemed very happy with our interest in them. And getting so close to the gigantic and so powerful coral/rock munching parrot fish. A wonderful experience all round. If it’s in your budget stay a while as just a night (or two) will deprive you of what’s special here. If you’re a serious snorkeler, take a couple of shirts less on your trip and bring your own goggles/snorkel. Every quality second on that amazing reef counts and although the dive school equipment was fine, you’ll benefit from bringing your own if it’s good gear. Some of the small negatives we read are really not valid if you’re a normal traveller. A special place! Thank you.
