Our beds were firmer than we're used to. WiFi was a bit spotty.

The views from the garden are spectacular! Ours were the last rooms available, so no view, but that was no big deal for us. The location is a great proximity to the monasteries. The breakfasts were ample and tasty and, so lovely on the patio. The front desk were so friendly and gracious. We enjoyed having cocktails on their beautiful garden patio and playing cards under their garden gazebo.

It was as close to perfect as a stay has ever been. Do note - no elevator. Not uncommon in Europe.

Seating in the beautiful garden with an amazing view and having a cup of tea there was the greatest joy of the day. Friendly and well informed reception staff, incredible breakfast buffet made our stay unforgettable.

Hallways were a bit dark, had to hunt around for the light switch, but once we found it no big deal.

You can't beat that view. Delicious homemade jams with breakfast, seriously good. Easy walk to town for dinner.

Excellent location: close to Meteora – less than 10 min drive to the famous Great Meteoron Monastery and Varlaam Monastery. Beautiful view from the front yard. Nice breakfast. Clean room and friendly staff.

We couldn’t stay longer (but I can’t blame the hotel for that - I only wish we had more time). Kastraki is a small town and that’s both a positive and a negative. There are only a few restaurants (and they’re good) with limited shopping and limited shops and stores to explore. But overall, I loved staying here and really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Doupiani.

The view - 10+++++! What an amazing view from the hotel - we got the triple room with a panoramic view and it was spectacular to look out and see the amazing rock formations from our terrace. It was fabulous. The staff - wonderful!! They couldn’t have been more helpful or kinder, especially when my husband became ill during our visit. The breakfast - excellent! Wonderful choices, plentiful, and lovely to be able to sit outside to eat while enjoying the views.

A few of our group were hungry around 3pm and asked if there was anything to eat, even bread and cheese to tide us over till dinner (we had been travelling and not had lunch) but they said they couldn’t, even tho they have a kitchen and supply breakfast. But never mind, we had a nice stay
