Nothing ...everything was absolutely fine .

The location is really good once you find your bearings , about a 10 minute pleasant stroll to the City centre but there are a few decent bars and restaurants nearby if you don't fancy the walk. The hotel is more of a business hotel than a holiday hotel and the parking facilities are an absolute must. The rooms were typical and the breakfast was excellent .

All very good BUT our room was in the Annex and on two levels, the upper sitting area was accessed via a highly polished (Varnished) two part stairway which was very slippery and dangerous, not to be recommended for older guests and young children. Similarly, the bath/shower did not have a non-slip feature, again, very dangerous for all age groups.

Welcome on arrival. Receptionist who was on the phone at the time did not acknowledge us at all. We waited patiently for 20 mins before being spoken to, and then quite offish. All of this time, there was a guy standing behind the desk who also ignored us (porter ?) Not informed of the huge construction taking place behind the hotel which swallowed up the pool area and reduced the on-site parking. Finishing touches in the room, with wallpaper peeling and skirtings badly fitted. Although not detrimental to our comfort, once seen it certainly didn't feel like a "boutique " experience.

Excellent breakfast aided by a hard working guy who continually replenished the used items. Size of the bedroom was good, bathroom also very good.

I don’t like showers in the bath so a separate shower compartment would have been better but I could have asked for that and didn’t so that is not the fault of the hotel. It was quite noisy due to traffic

The hotel was a bit tired but the facilities were very clean and the breakfasts were good. The room was well furnished and the bathroom was well appointed.

Limited parking for larger cars

The room that i book was so much bigger than i expected or needed. Lots of space and it was a bonus to have the air con available in the room

Room was large & comfortable. Cafeteria was convenient and breakfast was fine (not included). Helped getting taxis. Had good amenities if you ask for what you need.

According to Booking.com, I would pay only at the hotel. One month before the date, I received an email that my stay would be cancelled if I did not advance the payment of the first night within the coming days, the tone of which I found rather unpleasant. If so, then better claim the first day payment from the beginning.

Pretty tatty and worn inside. Burn holes in carpet and wallpaper coming off. Needs a refurbishment. Breakfast very average, low quality items but plenty of it. For the price ok.
