The weather was not good...but that is beyond anybody's control...Very cold for May! Cannot say anything negative about the Hotel!

It was great to go back to Avila, after being there in 1997. So amazing memory trip. The hotel was amazing. The restaurant, service, food...were superbe. Truly an amazing experience. Looking forward to go back.

A very minor point, but the wardrobe space would benefit from a few more cost hangers. However this is a common problem in many hotels and did not detract from our stay in any way.

Wonderful hotel in a perfect situation just inside the city walls of Ávila, which is a great place to visit, and within an easy walk of lots of cafés, bars and restaurants. Luca on reception was extremely welcoming and helpful, the bedroom was great, with an extremely comfortable bed. The kettle and coffee pod machine (pods supplied each day as at May 2024) were nice touches. The onsite parking, which was €15 a day in May 2024, was also excellent.

A little bit more storage space in the form of a chest of drawers in our room would have been helpful, and a sign on arrival to inform guests that reception is upstairs, not on the ground floor. Very minor quibbles and nothing which interfered with our enjoyment of our stay.

Loved this hotel. It's a beautiful building in a wonderful location, but what really made it for us, was the outstanding staff. Every person we encountered during our stay went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We really couldn't have asked for better service before, during and after our stay. Our room overlooked the garden at the front of the hotel and was very quiet with excellent sound proofing. The bed was super comfortable and the linens were of very high quality, all making for a very relaxing stay. The shower was great. We tried breakfast, dinner and tapas in the gastrobar and all were excellent.

Didn't take breakfast so can't comment on that but had a great al fresco lunch in the garden. Location first class and hard to find fault with anything.

After a very warm welcome we found our spacious room. Amazing how the old cloister/ monastery was reshaped in a supermodern hotel with all comfort. Next to that it had a large garden functioning as terrace or place for various festivities. Very good ambiance. Breakfast was superfluous and very tasty. We had dinner twice as the in house offerings were very attractive. Going outside you run the chance to get into a tourist trap before you know it.

Nothing much. Decor is dated, but still very comfortable and loads of amenities which makes up for this.

Loved the welcome and staff, especially Sergio in the bar area. What a lovely, friendly and helpful man, the food/dessert he suggested was such an excellent choice. The hotel amenities are good: very comfortable and spacious bedrooms, liked the buz and atmosphere of the reception/bar area. The food was also delicious. I didn't want a heavy meal and was able to select from the lighter/bar menu (really good Caesar salad), whilst my husband ordered from the restaurant menu, accommodating us both, it was perfect. Good position smack in the centre of town. Excellent value for money all round.

Beautiful building very sensitively restored to keep the character and charm yet providing a very modern vibe. Rooms modern, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Fantastic location tucked into the walls of Avila. Excellent restaurant and reception with brilliant staff!

Parking although extra worth being inside walls next to hotel. Restaurant excellent. Stunning world heritage site worth visiting
