Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ColombiaThe cocktail prices at the bar are a bit too high. The hostel breakfast is indeed too repetitive. Everyday: milk, coffee, toast and butter, cheese. If you're lucky, some jam, and that's it. However, we expected that, and there is a minimarket in the hotel were you can buy something additional (they have pastries, fruit, etc), which is a nice option. There's no stove at the kitchen, which limits cooking options if that's your plan. Even though the facilities are great, it's true that they can feel a bit empty, which is weird. The only lively place in the whole hotel was the bar and the pool beside it. The other pools were almost always empty, even if the hotel was supposed to be fully booked. The bar at the other pool was never open, so that could be a reason. And even though they had darts, pool table, petanque, etc. We never saw anyone using them, and in part I think is because there was no staff around to ask to, there was no music and the bar was closed. So maybe that could be improved.
The facilities are really nice, multiple pools, the beach pool by the bar is really nice. Nice clean room. Nice decoration, cool facades, interesting story of the place and the neighborhood. Very close to the city center. Food at the restaurant was decent. We saw in other reviews they didn't serve food at the restaurant after breakfast, but that wasn't the case, they did have a few options for dinner and lunch. Nothing too fancy, but pretty ok and at decent prices. They also have a minimarket open during the day.

This place is truly bizarre. On the paper it is perfect and with the facilities they it should be one of the hot spots in curacao. However you get a weird vibe staying there, lights in common areas are really dark and for a hostel you see no one and there is a weird vibe. How could it be with so many jakuzzis and beach areas available and even a bar? It feels like they have seen better days and management needs to redo a few minor things and they can be a having easy reviews up to 9-10 at booking.com. Local staff was very friendly.

ColombiaThe attention and service provided by one of the receptionist was terrible. I'm not sure about her name but I think is Heidi (I think she is latina, unfortunately). She made my check in and from the beginning was really rude, hateful and impatient. In the other hand, I was expecting from the hostel at least a: Happy Birthday message. I know is not mandatory that a place like this have to do anything about it, but any simple message or detail make the difference, specially because I was travelling alone and I mentioned it from the beginning in my reservation.
I choose this place due to the good comments, breakfast included, location, and facilities as pool. It's a really nice place to stay, comfortable, clean and safe. It includes a hostel, hotel and apartments. I met few people and I think I had a good solo birthday trip in Curacao.

United KingdomI picked the option with breakfast but it didn’t have an option to pick which breakfast. the option you pick when booking is just a continental breakfast and it’s bad. they just had tea, coffee and bread with butter or jam. If I wanted cheese, fruits or juice who’s is also supposed to be continental I had to pay $10 more.
The hostel is located very close to downtown and it’s easy to walk to all attractions as well as the markets and bus station. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The rooms and the pools were good and cleaned daily. The beach pool and the bar was where I spent the evenings as the lockdown restrictions were still on during the first part of my trip. The place is very safe and they have 24 hour security at the gates.

NetherlandsRooms are a bit basic and there isn't much space to hang wet clothes and towels. Also the aircon in the room doesn't work without the room keycard. The room gets very hot without.
This hostel is a very good deal because the location is great and you can use all the facilities of the Ritz Holiday Village.

BrazilIt didn't disturb our stay, but the bathrooms don't have ventilation and that in the heat can be a little bad. The Hostel is also in an old house, although all renovated and updated, there may be a little smell of old furniture.
Good Hostel with good location close to Punda and the bus stop. The double room was comfortable and the cleanliness was good, as was the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms and kitchen. Very good leisure area with the option of an artificial beach, traditional swimming pool and a jacuzzi. The employees also treated us well. Breakfast is quite simple but enough.

NetherlandsGreat location and very amazing hostel/hotel. It is like a little village with own "beach", supermarket, dive shop, pools, bars etc. Really amazing put together. Just know that the kitchen in the hostel has no cookingpit, so you can only make yourself noodlessoups with the watercooker if you wanna live on budget.

Netherlands- dirty!!! - Loads of insects in the room, when we went to the reception to discuss a solution the lady told us it was “normal” - the room smelled SO BAD. The last night we couldn’t take it anymore and just slept with the door open (because there aren’t rooms where you can open the windows by the way) - if you want breakfast after 9AM there is no food anymore to be found, probably not enough for all the guests
Friendly staff

FinlandOur first and the last time booking a hostel. The pictures didn’t match up with the reality… when booking this we didn’t expect the toilets and the shower to be in the other side of the hostel which made us very uncomfortable since I myself am a small petite woman and there were other people as well. The whole hostel smelled like mold and you could see the damage on the floors walls and ceiling. At night I was freezing cause the blanket we had was just a bottom sheet. We tried to upgrade to the hotel since it looked like there were around 4 rooms available for the rest of our stay at booking.com but at the reception they said no. Well we stayed there for 2 days and left to a fantastic hotel! (Which by the way was actually cheaper than the hostel) The breakfast was not a real breakfast and I think they shouldn’t advertise it like that but it was something to get your day started. The staff were a bit rude except for the lady that checked us in. -Points to her! Also they gave us dirty towels and the whole place was full of mosquitoes and other bugs.
The beach/pool was amazing and the lady who checked us in was nice! It felt good to have security at the entrance.

CanadaThis hostel is very old and tired. No social activity at all and hostel was mainly empty all week so I wouldn’t recommend to any solo traveller. Room was old, stains on the carpet, very very humid inside and smelled like mold. The curtains were broken so people outside could see through so I couldn’t change clothes in the room. Only 2 hooks to hang things in the room which is not nearly enough. The beach is far away and the area surrounding the hostel is empty and can be sketchy at night (be careful, girls!). No hot water in the showers. Their minimarket is only open from 8am to 12pm so there is nowhere to get food, water or beer after that on property. No restaurant. Also market only takes cash. Breakfast is just bread and cheese and if you get there too late (like 9am - when it finishes at 10am), there will be nothing left for you (then you ask reception and wait for a loooong time to get more). Reception charges 70USD for car rental when you can find it much cheaper with car rental companies and they charge 40USD for a taxi to the airport one way - you can also find cheaper if you book yourself. Pool and bar close super early (10pm). Reception also closes at 10pm. Kitchen is small and very limited (2 small fridges, a kettle and a sink). The power went ou twice while I was there - once for a full day so everyone had to shower in the dark and throw out all food from the fridge. Not really their fault though. One specific lady at the reception was super rude all the time. Its WAY TOO expensive for what you get. Wouldn’t recommend.
The pool was nice, most of the staff was smiling and nice. Especially the men at the front gate! 10-min walk to downtown Willemstad which is nice !
