Occupying a privileged position, the hotel is centrally located within a short walk of some of the city’s major attractions, including Via Veneto, Piazza Barberini and the Spanish Steps.

Re-designed in collaboration with architect Lorenzo Bellini, the hotel has maintained its welcoming and informal atmosphere and fused it with a more sophisticated flavour, with furnishings that inspire a re-fashioned classic style.

Simple and elegant and at the same time extremely soothing and welcoming, lighter tones in the common areas add more luminosity and give the space a larger dimension.

All room of Hotel Mascagni are soundproofed and feature double glazed windows, wall to wall carpeting and wooden furnishings.

All bathrooms are decorated in a 1920's style, with black and white tiled floors.

Walls are decorated with an interesting collection of black and white photographs of Rome.

Friendly staff,central location,comfortable and beautifully decorated room,although space was limited but then it is in Rome!

Buffet breakfast was poor particularly the mess that was supposed to be scrambled eggs,stick to the pain au chocolat!

We were celebrating our recent engagement and i had informed the hotel when booking that this was a "romantic" occasion (as i had not yet proposed when booking the hotel). Barely five mins after we were shown our room, the head waiter was up with a bottle of champagne and two glasses.....this set the tone for a fabulous weekend.

Front desk support and assistance was excellent. Hotel's location is very convenient. Satellite television and WIFI were provided.

WIFI was a significant additional charge. Other hotels on this trip did not have additional charges for wireless internet.

I did not like the fact that an iron was not available in the hotel to press my clothes.
